One up on Wall Street, by Peter Lynch

For beginning investors, this is the first book to read.
Lynch is concise and easy to understand. I personally don't recommend any of his sequels, although Beating the Street by Lynch is okay if you really loved One up on Wall Street and you really want more. Personally, I would spend my time reading other authors after reading this title. The original Lynch (although now refering to markets from 20 years ago) is still the best.
